The GiffGaff Mobile Network

How much do you download a month and what bag do you have.

I download 8 gig and on a 10 quid bag.

Not for long tho ha ha

Its all the Roms and apps and games i download.

I like the idea of using the forums to get kudos and gain money for account etc, will save more money then :)

Thinking of switching to giffgaff once my contract with tmobile is up. Do you just top up the £10 every time it runs out or can you have it so it auto renews?

From November (date TBC, we’ll communicate with at least 30 days notice)

£10 goodybag (change)
250 UK Minutes
Unlimited UK texts
1GB Mobile Internet (Tethering will be allowed)

£12 goodybag (new)
250 UK Minutes
Unlimited UK texts
Unlimited Mobile Internet (Tethering will not be allowed)

Still think id have to try the £10 one but blatantly know id use the 1GB :P via tether mind, but 20p a day is nowt to moan over and i wouldn't use the minuets either.

I have 3 phones on giffgaff and it seems like I am always having problems with the accounts and goodybags, also the internet always seems to be slow. I'm currently trying Three payg for a month to see if they are any better.

Just swapped to giffgaff. O2 signal instantly seems worse than Orange lol. Will see how I get on.. only doing the £10 goodybag at present.

I have been on giffgaff for over a year now. At work can pretty much only get 02 signal so thought it was best choice.

Had a few bad days, worst one was probably last year when it was sending every text message multiple times. But in general it's "ok" not great but for the money can't complain.

Happy with giffgaff. Cheap, reliable. Thought T-Mobile internet was slightly better in terms of reception, but value for money and freedom from contract means its well worth it mate, well worth it.

I swapped from Vodafone about 6 weeks ago. The price is good but I've 3 days of data outages in that 6 weeks, where data was not usable for most of the day. I also find that everywhere I seem to go most (home, work, missus's work, supermarket, favourite cafe's restaurants etc.), the coverage is considerably worse than Vodafone was, i.e. I seem to be on 2G most of the time as there's no 3G available.

GG is good value for money, but since I need reliable coverage and data for work, I expect I'll head back to Voda at some point.

Gents

I recently changed banks so I updated my GG account with the new sort & account number and also enabled my recurring goody bag (£20) and I've just checked and recurring is off and I can't see my credit?

Is there an issue at the moment with GG

Thanks

Mart

EDIT: OK ignore this its just gone back to normal, strange

Can anyone explain and fix this problem.

I'm currently with Orange and recently a friend has gone with Giff Gaff. I can receive my friend's text messages fine but he's unable to receive mine.. I seem to be the only person on his friends list that is having this problem.

any solution?

I agree with this, I have a T-Mobile contract and a GiffGaff one while I wait for my contract to run its course. GiffGaff internet speed seems on par with what I was getting using speedtest but sometimes I'll get a weaker reception than what I would get with a T-Mobile sim.

Just to confirm, giff-gaff worked just fine in the states. You will obviously need credit on your phone to call/text from abroad, but it worked just fine (as expected).

In the UK I don't seem to get as good as good speeds as I did with Orange, but then again O2 isn't exactly great down here anyway.
