Having just built a HTPC with the silverstone gd08 case, right now I'm currently not using the side 120mm case fans. As much as they are pretty good, I know there are better out there. My temps are ok just now but come the summer I want to bring them down a notch so I'll have to start using the side ones.
Any recommendations on good quiet 120mm that will do the job?
Cheers

Most of my fans are these and they are super quiet.
Bought them for the same reason as you, pc was sat behind the TV and I didnt want to hear it.

these are the fans i use, i have the venom cpu cooler with 2x 120s on and 2x 120 in the front and i have just ordered 3x 140s and another 120.

I can vouch for these fans, great performance and nice and quiet too.
Also they are on offer this week.

Hope so. Bought one for now to see how it goes. May buy another and a 4pin fan splitter and have the 2 of them running in the side vents, if that goes well I'll ditch the silverstone one that's running at the front of the case and stick another in.

Thanks, I had a look at these but unsure whether the temps can be controlled?

Also, I've heard mixed reviews with these fans. So you recommend the F12's then?

The F9's & F8's PWM's are very good for the price. I've got them in both of of my PC's. The F series PWM can be daisy chained together & powered off the motherboard with the board controlling the fan speed as stated earlier. :)
