Do MP's have a special pension scheme? It is not only the salary that matters but all other benefits.
MPs' pensions
A funded final salary scheme
Normal retirement age is 65, minimum age is 55
MPs can contribute either 11.9%, 7.9% or 5.9% of their £65,738-a-year salary
Payments are now increased in line with the consumer prices index
Accrual is capped at two-thirds of an MP's final salary
The coalition agreement included a commitment to consult with the Ipsa on "how to move away from the general final salary pension system".
Bbc. Guardian have something on it too. Google is your friend and all that you lazy so and so.
Dammit. Beaten.
Pay them national minimum wage. Nothing more, if the people have to have austerity forced on their hands because of the banks and government, why should those incompetent morons deserve any better!

If you want parliament to be exclusively the domain of the rich again then this is a very good idea...

I don't look at it like punishing, It's a case, you are here to do a job, not to get rich or famous, it's a job ffs, much like any other.
Why oh why do MP's seem to think they are better?
In times like these, We need human beings in charge, people that live on this side of the street. Not idiotic morons that have grown up believing they can do what they want and just get away with it!
Mp's sole purpose in the houses of parliament is to do what the people want.
Not to have their own agenda's, Not to do as they please.
Am I wrong?

I'm not venting, usually politics especially concerning this country gets me raging
My point is, you shouldn't be rewarded until after the fact.
They need to fix this country. They are not fixing this country.
Thousands of people are being forced out of work. Thousands of people are on welfare. They are not doing enough to fix it.
If the country was suddenly fixed, and everything rolled back to how things were 20-30 years ago, more people working, England having proper industry etc etc, then yeah i would hold my hand up and say yeah take a rise!
Look at it in the real world, If you run a company into the red and damn near bankrupt it, you're not going to be rewarded are you?
