The "New Gear/Willy Waving" thread

Thanks guys. The camera really does have character. Even more so with it's bigger brother; the x-pro1 with the optical viewfinder (which I was also considering though I couldn't stretch for it in the end). Will definitely be posting some photos when I take it out. Got myself a nice waterproof bag, which should be coming tomorrow in preparation.
 
Its amazing what happens sometimes. All my gear go stolen out of my car just before Christmas.

So some of my 'tog' friends who nearly all shoot Nikon offered me quite a lot of glass at seriously reduced prices, it was silly to say no so I didn't and this is what I've ended up with.

God knows what I'm going to do with it all. :eek:

The only thing I've bought new is the D7000.

That's a nice haul right there! You got some nice mates!

My gear has somewhat changed over the last 2 months and couldn't be happier (...OK I could be happier with a 5d2/3 :P)

I was all set for another A77 but once the guys said they were going to sort me with a load of glass a D7000 was the no brainer really. I'll miss the EVF and flippy LCD though.

I went for walk round a local country park with my 5yr old daughter on xmas eve and parked in the car park. On the way back to car we stopped at the coffee shop for a warm brew and biscuit.

Once we'd finished we went back to the car and after I'd put the gear in the boot I realised that my daughter had left her favourite doll in the coffee shop so we went back to get it.

We must have been gone 5 minutes tops but when we got back the window was through, the rear seat down and my bag missing from the boot. :mad:

nightmare - sounds like someone was watching you and knew what they were after.

Dell U2713HM. Currently uncalibrated though as a friend has borrowed my probe and he's at work + nobody else at home it would seem.
 
Bet you have to clean and polish every time you want to post a photo of your desk. It's far too clean. Either that or you spend some time with a clone tool :D
