PNY Nvidia Quadro K5000 Graphics Card - 4GB - GDDR5 SDRAM @ £1,819.99 inc VAT

GX-033-PN_400.jpg

The NVIDIA® Quadro® K5000 taps into the new NVIDIA Kepler architecture to deliver the world’s most compatible and power-efficient GPU for accelerating professional applications.

You can count on superior interaction when designing with the most complex models, richer scene details and effects for content creation, and faster results when processing massive datasets for scientific exploration. The Quadro K5000 features a range of innovative features, including SMX for increased per-clock throughput of key graphics operations and bindless textures that enable the GPU to reference textures directly in memory. Plus, it supports up to four displays—ideal for driving large-scale visualization solutions.

Easily deploy ultra-high resolution scalable visualization configurations.
You can now drive up to four displays simultaneously and get full support of the next-generation DisplayPort 1.2 standard—capable of resolutions of 3840x2160 at 60 Hz. This makes it easy to deploy multiple displays across a desktop, build an expansive digital signage wall, or create a sophisticated stereoscopic 3D CAVE environment. NVIDIA’s latest technologies, coupled with a Quadro K5000, give you an easy, affordable way to perform image synchronization and resolution scaling of a synchronized display surface with multiple projectors or displays. These technologies include Quadro Sync, Quadro Mosaic, Quadro Warp/Blend, and GPUDirect.

Interact with greater levels of model complexity in the design workflow.
The Quadro K5000’s next-generation streaming multiprocessor (SM) design, called SMX, offers several important architectural changes. These include substantial increases in per-clock throughput of key graphics operations that combine to deliver unprecedented performance and power efficiency. Plus the Quadro K5000 features large frame buffer capacity that lets you work with larger models and assemblies and improves interactive manipulation performance during the design process.

Create richer scene details and effects for content creation.
The NVIDIA Kepler architecture introduces the concept of bindless textures, which enables the GPU to reference textures directly in memory. This effectively eliminates the limit on the number of unique textures that can be used to render a scene, and reduces the CPU overhead to deliver improved performance. In fact, over one million unique textures are now possible. FXAA and TXAA film-style antialiasing technologies also optimize throughput of the SMX architecture, so you get outstanding image quality for content creation and design reviews without compromising the interactive experience.

Certified on industry-leading professional applications.
Designed and built specifically for professional workstations, NVIDIA Quadro GPUs power more than 150 professional applications across a broad range of industries, including manufacturing, media and entertainment, sciences, and energy. Professionals trust them to deliver the best possible experience with applications such as Adobe CS6, Avid Media Composer, Autodesk Inventor, Dassault Systemes CATIA and SolidWorks, Siemens NX, PTC Creo, and many more. For maximum application performance, add a Tesla K20 to your workstation and experience the power of NVIDIA Maximus technology.

PNY Nvidia Tesla K20 Workstation Solution Graphics Card - 5GB - GDDR5 SDRAM @ £2,999.99 inc VAT

GX-034-PN_400.jpg

With teraflops of single and double precision performance, NVIDIA® Kepler GPU Computing Accelerators are the world’s fastest and most efficient high performance computing (HPC) companion processors. Based on the Kepler compute architecture, which is 3 times higher performance per watt than the previous “Fermi” compute architecture1, the Tesla Kepler GPU Computing Accelerators make hybrid computing dramatically easier, and applicable to a broader set of computing applications. NVIDIA Tesla GPUs deliver the best performance and power efficiency for seismic processing, biochemistry simulations, weather and climate modeling, image, video and signal processing, computational finance, computational physics, CAE, CFD, and data analytics.

• SMX (streaming multiprocessor) design that delivers up to 3x more performance per watt compared to the SM in Fermi. It also delivers 1 petaflop of computing in just 10 server racks.

• Dynamic Parallelism capability that enables GPU threads to automatically spawn new threads. By adapting to the data without going back to the CPU, it greatly simplifies parallel programming and enables GPU acceleration of a broader set of popular algorithms, like adaptive mesh refinement (AMR), fast multipole method (FMM), and multigrid methods.

• Hyper-Q feature that enables multiple CPU cores to simultaneously utilize the CUDA cores on a single Kepler GPU, dramatically increasing GPU utilization, slashing CPU idle times, and advancing programmability. Ideal for cluster applications that use MPI.

- 2496 CUDA Cores
- 706MHz Core Clock
- 320Bit GDDR5
- 5GB Memory

Only £2,999.99 inc VAT.

:S how does that work then if it has no display outputs? Does it not output like conventional graphics card?

Or run it in an optimus setup like laptops where the graphics card is simply sent frames to render to the integrated chip's buffer.

Just out of interest, how many of these do you expect to sell? Is there much demand for this kind of calibre of card? I'd imagine that people who use these don't hang around the forum as much as some others do, just interested :)

And how do these compare to the AMD variants? More or less popular? I would have imagined these are more popular because of CUDA support, but I may be wrong, know next to nothing (detailed wise) about these cards!

They in theory should sell pretty well via b2b however there is nothing to say they wont sell through being noticed on the forums. Afterall, many on here work in the IT industry as IT professionals of which the companys they work for may require such products. :)

But we're only 10%.
