Blu Ray Steelbook Collectors

I really only bother with Steelbooks if they offer some extra content wise.

Which would be never then, I always get a Steelbook version of a film if it's an option but I've never known them ever to have extra content, you're just paying £1 or £2 more for the fancier packaging

I meant over the standard Blu-ray. For example, if there are 3 editions of the film like: standard edition, special edition and then a steelbook edition, if the steelbook edition is the same as the special edition content wise, then I will purchase the steelbook.

Turns out I have 3, never really paid attention when ordering/buying, if i recall, they don't cost any more than the normal version when I got them.

i've started to get into br steelbook teh last 18 months or so :-

braveheart
king of new york
flash gordon
the expendables
green zone
the untouchables
top gun
the last samurai
terminator
the pacific

only one i can say is a disappointment is braveheart as it is only single disc with no real extras

^^^ And thus why Steelbook collecting is so big atm, easy money if you invest in the right titles ;)

As oppose to the regular blue plastic case's that blow your mind I presume?
No, but I wouldn't pay extra to get a tin with some drawings on it.

Stuff like the BSG bluray complete and other collectors editions is good but a ordinary dvd sized tin...whats so great about that.

For me it would just get added to the shelf and only pulled out when I want to watch the movie.

The Terminator
Hunger Games
Shaun of the Dead
Alien Quadrilogy
Godfather trilogy
Sweeney Todd
Fight Club
Avengers

Most were limited editions and still sealed, will probably sell them on.

I'm a big of a sucker for steelbooks

Prometheus
Jaws
Avatar
Pulp Fiction
District 9
Robin Hood

And probably a few more I cant recall off the top of my head

Should make a tidy profit on Terminator and the Alien Quadrilogy ;)

Hey guys! I've just been buying a load of steelbooks. I was speaking to a friend who collects these and he said he keeps all his sealed and buys them on normal blu ray if he wants to watch them, is this what you lot do? I think its mental buying 2 of the same movie!
