HI all,

I "Want" a new phone, i currently have a HTC ONE V. Which apparently will not be supported anymore for OS updates yet only 4 months old :o "HTC" say due to memory shortage. so thought id start looking at new phones.

Current phone

HTC ONE V 1.6ghz single core ( i believe) 512MB RAM 1GB internal + 32GB SD

Uses:
Internet
Music (Main use - as i have 20GB+ of music on my current phone)
Calls

Requirements
Must be Andriod ( used Iphones/Mobile 7 to expensive on PAYO or little feature support)
Price based of Pay As you Go
Budget £300 ( can push more if required)
Want constant updates with Android
16GB + storage

The "Want constant updates with Android" pretty much leaves you with a Nexus.

Nexus 4 all the way, I've used both that and the S3 a fair bit. S3 is far lighter and slimmer, but the Nexus 4 will get more and regular updates.

Looks like you might want more than 16gb of space for your music? If so, make the choice between SGS3/Note 2 (sd storage) or Nexus4 16gb (Latest Android updates but no sd storage).

What? Why?

6 to 8 weeks wait at the very best, there are folk who ordered a minute either side of me who are still waiting, entire countries have had their release delayed and now, disbelieved, rumours that LG are soon gonna stop production, tbh I thought all that was pretty obvious.

If the man wants a phone nowish at that budget I recommend a grey import possibly off *******.

High Street stores have them in stock, my colleague picked one up at Carphone Warehouse this week.

Sim-free/Play Store has stock issues, providers/high street do not.

I was going by the £300 budget, tbh at high st prices I might have bought another phone, probably off Samsung.
