I seem to hold on to most of my games for some reason, even though I've probably played most of them for a week, if that! then not touched them since

I'm on GAMEs website just now, putting them all through the trade in price checker and even though lots of them are worth under a pound I could prob get a console with the trade in value never mind more games, if only I had traded them in when I stopped using them I would have got so much more back for them

do you have a rough number of games you like to keep in your collection or do you end up with stacks of games cases as decorations?!

I just keep them as even ones I play once by the time I complete them they are worthless.

Then there are the games I keep because I like them portal 1/2 CoD Dead Rising etc.

Usually keep them because I'd rather have it just in case I'm super bored and fancy doing a game again, rather than get a pathetic trade in value.

However if I ever get round to it ill get rid of black ops 2 because its rubbish but holds value reasonably well for a trade in

Game are doing an extra £10 trade in at the moment when you take in 4 games over £2 trade value.

I used to keep old games. In fact I still have my megadrive, n64 and saturn stuff. I sold off a few of the more valuable things like Guardian heroes final fantasy 7 etc.

Nowadays it all usually gets sold on fast to get some money back. I keep some games, most of the cods and gears of war.

Same, i have a bad habit of holding on to games way too long after I've finished with them.

I've got a drawer full of half completed games that i have neither the time or inclination to go back to, but somehow thought it would be a good idea not to trade them in, when they were actually worth something. Madness

I very rarely trade in my games, and have piles of half finished ones. I seem to convince myself I will play them again... But I likely never will

I sold and traded in a shed load of games in the past, I tend to do a clearing once in a while.

I traded in like 30 odd ps1 games, some them I went out and brought the ps2 versions, Games like capcom classics. Now I can't play the ps2 version on my ps3 and thinking of getting them on psn or the original discs again on ps1.

My personal thoughts on it is that if your never going to want to play the game again or if you have the newer version of the game; such as fifa 11 and fifa 12. There's no point in keeping them, but looking back I wish I kept my master system, my GBA micro and my SNES with all the games. I bin my ps one; what a bad move that was; but I still have my limited edition ps2 at my mums.

was tempted to trade them all to put towards a wiiU....could get £210 for all these games sitting here, prob wont touch 90% of them again but they've been collected over 4-5 years, spent well over a grand buying them, will just end up ragin' if I sell them all on for 50p etc!

Same here. Now got over 110 games as most of them are only worth a few quid so don't see the point in trading them in. I secretly like having a large game collection as well, very rarely find myself lacking something to play.

I trade most in once I am bored of them, never likely to go back to them, and if really needed too you can find them cheap enough anyway :D

I tend to keep everything, traded a few when I was younger and regretted it, and you never quite know when you'll fancy playing something again.

I only tend to trade in games that are released 12 monthly as part of a franchise, all my other games I like to keep a hold of. Just because I've played and completed something doesn't mean I won't want to return to it in the future and the trade in price of many games is so rubbish it's not even financially worth it.

I keep games I know i'll keep going back to and trade the rest in.

Pretty much this, or even just games I enjoyed but might not get round to playing again. Mass Effect 1-3 for example; I can't imagine I'll ever have the time to play them again (especially not with my current backlog) but I liked them so I want to hang on to them.

I generally only trade-in games that I simply haven't enjoyed. LA Noire, Saints Row 3, Battlefield 3 etc.

The first game I felt compelled to trade in was the Lylat Wars or Lillet Wars as I used to refer to it then. The manager at EB didn't really want it either.

My parents used to mad when I was younger as when I had finished a game ( before Xbox live and psn) I would trade it for a new one. "So you paid £40 for that a week ago and now he's only giving you £20 for it?!
They didn't seem to understand that I was now only paying £20 for my new game and if I didn't trade the other I would end up with a pile of old games I didn't play that would be worth pence when I did actually decide to sell them.
And now I can't trade any because I've switched to pc gaming :(
