Whats on your coffee table in your living room right now?

1. It's not an ACOG, which is a specific brand and type of telescopic sight, it's just an ordinary small scope.
2. In it's current configuration with a suppressor and stock fully extended, it is an acceptable facsimile of many Assault-Rifles-turned-DMR that are in current use.

Not bad! That's a GR15-Raider Long right? did you cut the front sight post off or change the outer barrel? :)

You're good. :)

It's actually not the long version, but the standard Raider with the short CQB barrel. We wanted a piece that could be mocked up to fit a variety of different roles: this incarnation is my rough (read: cheap) attempt at a sort of DMR, as you pointed out. To lengthen the outer barrel I had to remove the RIS, then the front 'A' sight which is welded to that section of the outer barrel (very fiddly). Then I found an ICS outer barrel extension that, luckily, would slide over the existing short outer barrel and stay in place with grab screws. Then I attached the railed gas block to finish (not the model I wanted at the time, but it works okay). It all fits quite snugly and the jerry-rigged barrel even holds the weight of the Gemtech suppressor rather securely.

I still need a bipod and fold-down front and rear iron sights, though. I don't know that much about this sort of thing so you saying that it is an acceptable facsimile makes me very happy.

I'd put it on the wall but wifey would frown. :(

Just the usual stuff, dog lead, candles, COFFEE, a few other bits and bobs.

Excuse the picture quality, it was taken with a butternut squash.

though my coffee table is not in the centre of the room and is sorta jammed into a corner, it is currently covered by, a dead dvd writer, a screwdriver, and a few pieces of asssorted paper.
