His HD 7950 IceQ Boost..... temps and fan speeds

if you get a chance could you havw a look and see what it peeks at at peek temp please.

something like gpu-z will tell you

thanks
ian

well i have a side fan next to the gfx card sucking in air and then the gfx card sucks in it and blows it out the back :p
and also a front fan and 1 back fan

i have the raider case

200mm on the front blowing in
120mm on the front blowing in
120mm blowing up to the gpu (standard raider case fan)
120mm exhaust at the back

that is what i was wondering, i have a few fans, but if people are getting around 50c or so gpu temps, is that because there gpu fan is 70%+ etc

or is there something wrong in my settings in the bios with volts or something?

I get up to 78C at 58% roughly, but that's overclocked to 1130/1425 @ 1.187V and 1.65V respectively. I'm considering flashing the BIOS so I don't have to force constant voltage in AB because my idle temps are ridiculous.

The boost BIOS on the card dumps 1.25V into the card, which is ridiculously excessive for 950MHz core, so you could always lower the volts with an overclocking program to bring your temps down. If you use afterburner you'll have to force constant voltage (it won't drop volts at idle) because of some issue with the boost bios. The HIS application broke monitor sleep for me (and some others have mentioned the same issue) so don't use it.

Room temp around 20C
Idle CPU 23C
Max CPU 55C @4.2GHz
Idle GPU 27C
Max GPU 60C after half hour of Far Cry 3
Maximum fan usage: 40%

Playing Far Cry 3 @ 1080p (ultra settings) I get max of about 67c, but that is when overclocked to 1100 / 1500.

Without the overclock it doesn't reach 60c.

I don't suppose you know what bios to flash do you? I have yet to find one that works.

My IceQ Boost behaves very oddly. The boost doesn't seem to change the voltage and it will do 1050 mhz on the stock volts, but changing the voltage always seems to make the card unstable.
