AirPrint printer

I bought the HP Envy 110.

Very happy with it - one of the few compact printers that completely hides the paper. Quality is decent and dead easy to set up with all devices.

Do you want a printer that looks good or actually prints? What's your budget, and what exactly will you be printing?

You can pick up AirPrint capable printers for £30 (I did), that will do everything that the average light user would want to do (aside from double-sided printing). The Envy 110 will give you better quality prints, however there are much better choices for less money if you want a truly decent printer.

I would like a decent printer pls most time I be printing docs but do like print photos.

Yeah, I'd agree with that. The Envy is good quality, but if you didn't care about the aesthetics you could get the same quality for cheaper, of slightly better quality for the same price. For me, the printer lives in the dining room, and it almost looks like an Apple product, and still is good enough quality for docs and photos.

The Officejet 6100 does the job, ink cartridges are big and won't break the bank. It's not a photo printer though.

To me a lot of the cost of a printer isn't in the initial purchase price, it's more down to the ink replacements. We have an HP Lasterjet P1102w in the office, just bought one for home too, fairly decent laser printer.

No good for photos obviously, we don't print many photos so for us it makes more sense to have a cheap mono laser printer for letters, booking receipts, tickets etc and then just pop down to the supermarket to print out photos on the machines there.
