Thought i'd drop back in! Glad to see your laptop got fixed, mine hasn't skipped a beat. Very pleased with mine so far.
 
Look guys what I got in my dell acc:
Carrier: UPS
Shipped On: 13/01/2013
and Tracking Number, but its not working now.
So that mean my aw lapot now with ups? How much can it take before it will be delivered to my home door?

UK order? i'd say a day or two now before it lands on doorstep. I got an order from Dell shipped from China to the UK within three days - amazingly quick..!!

UPDATE: New mobo and gfx card installed by the technician today, now the 2nd gfx card isn't even seen!

Really unhappy, called Dell and asked for a refund, they said no problem but there is a big backlog on refunds(!) and that they would pick up the laptop this Friday or early next week and process my refund then.

So I could be a couple of weeks before I get my money back. Rubbish.

It's £998 inc VAT. I've been looking for something with a faster CPU and would prefer it if it had the bog standard RAM and HDD, but I think it's still worth having.

What page is it you need to look at to get those deals? I had a look today and it was only ones with 660M's and the such like in there.

It's the Dell Outlet. I use this link to display any M18X R2 or M17X R4s:

They add the new stock every day at about 2:17pm and they are there for literally seconds before they are snapped up, so if you are just casually browsing the site you will most likely never see any. Except for that one with the 900p screen which keeps being taken and then thrown back lol.

Yes, I got the one with the 680M as it was a bargain, but it's more than I need as I don't play a lot of games so I have been looking for one with a 7970M. TBH a 660M would probably do me 99% of the time, but seeing as the price difference is pretty small I'd rather have the 7970M just in case.
 
True. It's amazing that the 7970 is 50% more powerful than the 675 but on the outlet a machine with 7970 would be cheaper than that of an identical system but with a 675M.

It's encouraging there have been more systems of late, so I'm hopeful to get one sometime, lol.......SOMETIME.
 
Well you guys have one less person to compete with in any getting one, as mentioned in another thread here I finally went for a new one (sick of trying to get one on outlet was driving me crazy)

Any help and advice in my thread much appreciated guys
