Battery drains quickly

I don't think anything coming this year is going to be able to compete with Note II battery :/

Shame because the Z looks really nice on design and specs otherwise.

For me it's not the screen size that appeals most about the N2, it's the epic battery life so the next phone has to be the same or better.

The water resistance and camera look interesting on this though.

That concern was put there before the phones official announcement and before any one knew about 'STAMINA Mode' - so while this won't come close to the N2 it should hopefully be a damn sight better than previous Sony phones and up there with the leading phones.

Stamina mode might be ok but then you could argue Samsung have Power Savings mode as well :p

All OEMs have pointless power saving modes you never use :p What's the point in stopping data connectivity when a modern phone lasts a full day doing everything* anyway?

The Note 2 has a monster 3000mAh battery, that's why it has great battery life ;)

Hah, many a time have I woken up to find 6/7/3% etc battery left because I fell asleep while drawing in Draw Something and forgot to plug it in ¬_¬

7 hours screen on time though :p

Note's are all round epic, after my purchase of the Nexus 4 as a damn good stand by I'll be going back to Note later in the year hopefully N3 on 3 lte, IMHO the Note family battery is gonna come into its own on lte.

Re the waterproofing as there are two types both being highlighted and as a manufacturing process lots of phones from a variety of makers will have this facility I hope, flexible screens and waterproof phones is gonna slaughter the phone case market IMHO.

I use mine on my Xperia V, works very well indeed, it allows me to go 2 days if necessary, which is a great option.

Any phone the size of your face should have excellent battery life.

As a current iphone user, this has me, for the first time ever, contemplating switching.

As ive never owned a android device before, when key lime pie comes out, why could I not just flash the Experia Z with it? Why must I wait for Sony? I thought the whole point of Android was for me to just do what I want with it and its ultra tweakableness (new word, go me)

Im sure the developer community will work on this - you can already update the T and V to the latest version albeit not officially.
