Looking at ordering a couple of these cards tonight but I'm worried that they won't fit in a crossfire config, does anyone have an Asus P8P67 Pro and the same/similar sized cards?

Also, if I'm setting up an Eyefinity setup with these cards am I going to need two Active MDP>DVI adapters?

One via HDMI is simple enough. You'll need to get one into DVI via a HDMI to DVI adaptor. Then another into the mDP input on the card. This is more tricky.

You will indeed need an active adaptor. Active displayport to HDMI.

I'm trying to keep the HDMI port free for my 37" TV as a fourth monitor.

Would I be able to go

Display Port > HDMI(With Adapter)
Display Port > HDMI(With Adapter)
DVI > HDMI(Monitor)
HDMI > HDMI (TV)

Yes it should work although I don't have any experience personally of running 4 monitors I can't see why not. (I only ran 3)

Remember the adapters will need to be Mini DisplayPort adapters. :)

I don't know the answer to your motherboard question but if the slot spacing is the same as my motherboard (it should be) then they'll fit fine.

It'll be closer than other cards as the IceQ cards are fatter but as they exhaust out the back this helps a lot with multi GPU set ups.

Well I have three PCI slots, two x16 and one x4. I've read somewhere that putting them in a x16 and a x4 (to give a bit of space between the cards) will only result in a marginal performance drop. Although I could be wrong.

The 4 screen setup is going to be a 3x Eyefinity setup and the TV as an extention for watching films and stuff. I'm not sure if it'll work but I'm sure I'll be able to figure something out for it.

Thanks for your help so far though =)

Yeah you should use the two x16 lanes (they'll run in 8x mode with two GPUs).

You're more likely to run into micro stutter IMO and it just isn't generally advisable to run at 16x/4x. I think your temps will be fine with the IceQs in the 8x/8x slots.

That's settled then. Although it looks like the MiniDP>HDMI active adapters aren't available on Overclockers anymore. I'm sure I saw them last week..

I'll just double check my machine to make sure there's definitely room. I'm sure there is but I didn't use a second IceQ I used an MSI TF III.

I had my heart set on the 7970 IceQ X2 for crossfire, great looking cards and great cooling but WAY out of my price range for the time being.

It's either 2x IceQ boosts or 2x Windforce 3x's but I can't seem to find anything about noise/temps for the windforce. Maybe I'm not looking hard enough.
