Hot water burn, debating the hospital...

Debating the hospital?

So far this is only a small debate,

But if this turns in to a mass-debate then its really going to hurt.

I drink hot water first thing in the morning for my health, read the benefits!

There doesn't appear to be much scientific evidence, other than that lemons are high in vitamin c which can be much more easily obtained from a multivitamin.

Lots of 'new age' and homeopathic nonsense about it though.

McDonalds have a warning on their coffee cups about the contents being hot, previously I thought this was solely for the benefit of the village idiot, now I know it is intended for the general populous :o

Agreed. People who buy into twaddle may well get a placebo effect, but clearly a persons wang is in mortal danger from severe burns. Not worth the risk imo. :p

I once spilt a frying pan full of boiling oil all over my hand (trying to earn some brownie points by cooking the missus a fry up). Oh man, my hand felt like it was literally on fire for about 48 hours! I didn't go to the hospital or the doctors and just stupidly put up with it. Luckily for me it healed and left no scarring.

My advice would be because of your gential issue I would get in to the doctors ASAP.

Hell's bells.
Yeah, burns like those are real nasty.

Worst I've had was getting a plate out of an oven (had been on a low-ish temperature for about 12 hours & wasn't visibly on) - as I picked up the plate it started to stick to my fingers (via burning/melting) & I had to chuck it across the room - took a couple of months to heal but oddly no scars left (all across my fingers lol - that sucked).

Wouldn't have happened if he'd just had a nice shot of Mornin' Whiskey like the rest of GD.

If i had skin falling off my penis, i would be straight to the hospital!

If i had skin falling off anywhere i would...the risk of infection "down there" is pretty high, the fact you are even contemplating this astounds me :/

If i had damaged my junk in any way i would not hesitate to have a nurse put her hands all over it, once you loose it there's no getting it back so don't take any chances!

Seriously would not be calm what so ever if i had scolded my ****!

Hang on OP, you let the water cool for 10 minutes before you split it over yourself; are you sure you weren't just vigorously rubbing it better and this is what caused the skin to fall off?

If the pain continues, wrapping the area with clean cling film will keep the air off the skin and the pain will subside. This is only a temporary measure, though. I'd say you need it looked at.

Explain the problem to NHS Direct and they will advise you further. If your skin is wrinkled or peeling it is very likely to blister. If blisters are likely then you will NEED a proper burns dressing (and redressing) as infection is a concern.

Don't worry about whopping out your man-chicken, they have seen it all before.
