Hot water burn, debating the hospital...

Spilt it on your crutch eh?

This morning, made a fresh cup of boiling water to drink, left it for about 10 minutes to cool down then spilt the entire mug on my crutch. Half my thighs and on my genitals.

Don't think I've seen anyone else pick up on this yet in the thread... so I'm pointing out this hole!

If you left a mug which you had poured from a kettle of boiling water for ten minutes, it wouldn't be boiling hot anymore. Infact, given the current weather, your mug would probably drop in temperature even quicker than usual unless you have your heating on pretty high.

So I can see how pouring a cup of hot water all over your crotch would be annoying, but its not going to be boiling to scald you. I've accidentally knocked just boiled tea on my leg before and while its hot, I've not properly scaled myself through jeans.

So I'm just not seeing that a mug that has been left for so long is going to cause you to start loosing skin and blistering, even if you were sat there naked!

Left for 10mins...surely it wasn't even that hot?

I can make a black coffee and drink it all within 10 minutes with no issues. So, I can't see how the water was hot enough to cause blistering/skin lose.

Edit: Beaten like a ginger step-child :(

I'm just glad somebody else spotted that glaring plot hole! :D

I left it for around 10 minutes, it was still extremely hot. I was naked, just out of the shower. I wasn't to sure if it was serious enough to go hospital that's all. As I know the skin is a very good healer and wanted to wait it out a bit.

Thanks anyways.

How can you say that you know skin is a very good healer and then sit for 10 minutes waiting for your penis skin to heal after boiling water had been split on it and then proceed to post on the internet whether you should seek medical help?

Where is the common sense?

Either you're a BS master or a really, really good attention whore troll.

e: I'm not normally this blunt.

Sounds like a load of belloni to me tbh

But, what do I know :D

(Serious face) When applying Vaseline, the best method is applying (by hand) in an up/down motion.. vigorously. This allows for maximum stimulation to the effect area.

When to go to hospital

Once you have taken these steps, you will need to decide whether further medical treatment is necessary. Go to a hospital accident and emergency (A&E) department for:
all chemical and electrical burns (see below)
large or deep burns – any burn bigger than the affected person’s hand
full thickness burns of all sizes – these burns cause white or charred skin
partial thickness burns on the face, hands, arms, feet, legs or genitals – these are burns that cause blisters

If a problem has developed, I think he would already be in hospital. What with this being 11 days ago and all.
