I just thought I'd share this as it highlights the importance of proof reading your car adverts before you post them.

I put my Jaaaaag up for sale last week. When I looked at the advert again today I noticed I'd got the mileage and the price in the wrong boxes.

So, I was offering for sale a nice S-Type R on 5499 miles for £78,000!!!!!!

I have now amended the advert. What a moron.

Have any of you made a similar mistake?

Absolutely. The OP could have just said I got mileage and price mixed up! Why do we need to know the car details?

This is also on the assumption that anyone cares, which by the looks of it is a no.

Erm, OK.
I thought it was funny. Sorry to have upset you.

I advertised an old car years back, pre internet advertising, in the local rag and forgot to add my phone number! Worst still, I re-ran the ad with a lower price due to lack of interest and still forgot the phone number! :o

Sold it to a mate in the end and need not have bothered with the ad in the first place!

I was in the same situation when I had the Monaro so it had to go, however things are better now, much better so I'll have a new car in March.
