What is it with peoples fixation with snow?

Snow is fantastic, it is extremely good at noise deadening, it's is very pretty, even when in cities. Combing those two makes it very tranquil. Nothing better than walking to the supermarket in the snow to pick up stuff for stew and dumplings, look at all the snowmen and dodgy sculptures, random snow fights. It's simply fantastic.

No snow down this way yet :(
 
It wasn't really even a snowball fight. Just a bit of joyous frolicking.

I did actually have a snowball fight at 6am though when I'd finished and got my mate right in the eye.

It snowed about 2 inches here, and then the roads got all slushy and now it's re-froze, I can hear all the cars coming down the street crunching all the way down.
 
No snow but just taken the dog for a walk and could feel my nose hairs freezing. Damn it is cold out there tonight. Every puddle and bit of standing water is frozen solid. Dreading the drive to work tomorrow.
 
I realised I was getting old earlier when snow had become a frustration.

That said, if I hadn't got caught in a blizzard, and hadn't had to either walk or cycle (went with cycling), it would be quite fun.

It's pretty and I like it, it just causes me hassle, which is annoying.

Snow is and will forever be awesome.

Until you have to live with it around you for more than 6 months of the year. Then it becomes a PITA.
 
Snow: it's all fun and games until you have to spend a night sleeping in a freezing cold car because the motorway is shut.
