MSI HD 7950 Twin Frozr III issues resolved?

I've been very happy with my MSI HAWK 6870 Twin Frozr but fancy upgrading so the MSI 7950 Twin Frozr III is an obvious choice for me.

Are the issues with temps now resolved or could I still land a turkey if I ordered one now? Would I also see a nice jump in performance going from a 6870 to 7950?

You could still get a duff one.

6870 to 7950 must be close to double in performance.

I dont fancy taking a gamble, I hear MSI are a pain to deal with. Could I sort it out with ocuk themselves if I get a duff one? I'm considering the Windforce but don't like the idea of it blowing all that hot air into the case.

Whats the HIS like?

As above - they both blow into the case.

Yes you can return it to OcUK within 14 days no questions asked.

The MSI (if you get a working one) is the best 7950 IMO. There's nothing between the GB and HIS cards. The HIS card blows out the back of the case but the GB has a better warranty situation.
