So I never got hold of another tablet after the amount of faults my Nexus 7 had.

I'm on the look out again now and I'm really liking the idea of the iPad mini just because it's a change from Android.

I'm trying to convince myself to buy one, it's just purely for gadget purposes but I quite like the idea of not always being stuck at my PC.

A few questions though, should I be concerned it's only a dual core CPU and not a quad core like some of it's rivals? Will it still preform everything fast and smooth including high detailed games etc?

Is there any reason why I shouldn't get an iPad Mini?

Cheers

Hmm... I have a voucher to use and it'll basically get me £100 off the price of the iPad mini... I don't want to get it if their is going to be a brand new version out in a few months and if it can't handle games/hd movies very well.

Cheers

I have one and its great. Screen isn't a problem at all. Resolution is lower than other tablets, but it beats them by far for colour accuracy and clarity.

You pay more for the build and Eco system, both of which are unmatched.

The iPad mini is overpriced for what it's worth, and the PPI of the screen looks terrible compared to the Nexus 7.

This is completely true. It also has an incredibly locked down and inflexible operating system and the PC connectivity is rubbish, forcing you to use iTunes. It is also a less powerful device than the Nexus 7.

So with this in mind, I bought an iPad Mini. The way it feels to hold and use just seemed to turn all the negatives into 'yea, but... never mind'.

So, should I or not?

They're *******ing expensive for what they are thanks to the fruit logo, but they are pretty nice with it.

nexus 7 for my wife, ipad mini for me given the choice i haven't picked up the nexus yet, i love the mini more than my full size ipad.

I'm still not bored of that gif...

From looking online, their doesn't seem to be any manufacturing defects unlike the Nexus 7. :)

Yeah, at least Apple keeps up the quality. The Nexus tablets feels quite rushed to be honest, but my Nexus 10 has been fine so far.

I thought there were a few problems with it? (like every tech. device :p) Mainly the screen having a yellow tint to it :p

At least if there are any problems you will have good service on getting a replacement though!

Nothing wrong with an iPad mini, it's just slightly overpriced for what it is.

Expect quite the difference when it comes to the change of operating system!

Oh lord, don't. :( :p

I don't think there are any specific issues with them, so that's good at least.

Where have you been for so long?

And in relation to the yellow tint... I am aware near enough every Apple product has been affected with the yellow tint defect. I can only see a few things about it in relation to the mini on Google so hopefully that's a good sign.

Nowhere? :p

Screens tend to have either a blue or yellow tint, rarely are they perfectly white.

I was sure I hadn't seen your name around these parts for quite some time... :p

Is it stupid to put a screen protector on a tablet? I imagine the Mini is gorilla glass... I sure hope it is!
