My friend is looking to build a new base unit and has a budget of about £600-£700 (Can stretch to £750 if need be).

He already has 2 22" monitors which he wants to use for gaming.

Any ideas? He also needs atleast 2tb of storage and preferably a 120gb ssd for boot. Windows 7 CD not needed as he already has a copy of this. Mouse & keyboard not needed either

Thanks in advance

Lemins build is quite nice. I have the Z9 plus case, lots to like for the price but I would personally buy the U3 version (not stocked here) which is an improved updated version.

Faster SSD and a 2TB eco drive for storage. RAM is great for the price and colour codes nicely with the mobo. PSU has seasonic internals (i.e its very good), Heatsink has easy to fit snap on brackets to mount the fan, includes a spare bracket so you can mount an additional fan. I prefer it over the Matterhorn but its just a personal preference at the end of the day.

Thanks for the replies, some pretty good builds you guys have put together for me. Just out of curiosity, is the 660Ti in the same league as the 7850 that you've both recommended? Would the 670 be superior to the 7850 otherwise?

Bit surprised you are opting for the "B" grade 2TB Green hdd. Sooner have this one and £2 cheaper.

YOUR BASKET
1 x **B Grade** Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200RPM SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache - OEM (S (HD-255-SE) £58

Or 2 of these:

At this price, you can't go wrong with the black ed.
