So i got home plugged my GFX Card in worked fine sound ok, The next day i came home from college and boom no sound i put old GFX Card in, nothing, Re installed windows 7, nothing, re installed nvidia driver/realtek hd audio drivers, still nothing FFs pleas help me :@ no silly comments pleas.

Have you tried reinstalling Nvidia drivers/custom and don't install the Nvidia audio drivers (untick the audio box)? or is that a silly comment :p

If the sound is connected to the onboard sound (which it looks like it is on the Realtek screenshot), it's because the Nvidia GPU has been set as the default sound device, which only works when the HDMI monitor has speakers. Select "Realtek Digital Output" and set it as default.

But then if he is using Optical he will still have no sound:p

Silly that people post posts like this asking for help with sound without posting how its actually connected up:confused:

Well it was connected to my monitor through a DVI cable from GFX Card and the i changed to my tv/miniHDMI<bigHDMI adapter its not a cheap one its not an old one i just got it

So your trying to play the sound through your TV?

DVI doesnt carry sound so it's still unclear how your sound setup was before and is now.

You really should post how your speakers is connected to the PC :p.

If trying to play from TV speakers -> Nvidia High Definition Audio as default.

If from speakers connected to the onboard Realtak -> One of the three Realtek ones as default.

It's pretty simple really:

Select "Realtek Digital Output" which I highlighted in the red arrow. Then press the "Set default" button I circled in red. If that doesn't work, try again but with "Realtek Digital Output(Optical)" and see if it works with that.

EDIT: Just saw you posted this:

now it is connected to DVI<monitor<and speakers to Green back pannel

Then do the same steps but choose "Speakers" instead.
