I have been playing Civ5 on my HD 7970s which generates a lot of heat.

The funny part about it is that there is snow on the ground outside and I have had the window open all day.

How is everybody else doing.

I'm trying to break in my two new 7950s. Been overclocking and testing all day, temps were hitting 77 Degrees on a mild overclock then I realised I had the heating on and the window shut.

Opened the window and turned my radiator off and they dropped to 68 under full load. Still nice and toasty in my room though. No snow outside which makes me both happy and sad, Happy because I don't have to walk to work in the snow, sad because... Well there's no snow :(

No, own a gtx 670 wf at 1320/7586mhz, Cant get it over 67c for love nor money, stock auto fan. And still quiet. Who needs watercooling on a card as cool and quiet as this.:D

lolz im happy to be able to keep the window closed, nextdoor has a really annoying wind chime

should be laws against gigantic wind chimes >< i think it scared away the crazy owl i liked too

With a 470@800mhz I can safely say YES defiantly keeping me warm with temps up to 90c, but normally around 82/3c

Radiator is off... 480 has been doing it's job :-D (and to be fair that's without actually playing games lol).

7870 will not even get to 60c, Gigabyte WF 3x cooler is to good it seems.

The Phenom II x6 CPU is running at 4.1Ghz, air cooler on it, i can feel a little a bit of warmth coming off it if when loaded when i put my hand over the case vent, but not enough, still need my heating.

My phantom 820 and DCU2 dont allow heat lol, i have my radiator right next to my pc and im still under 60C on all games :)

This weather is a **** take though so cold im glad i got some slippers for xmas haha ;)

Not mine :( Stupid water cooling.

My CPU was almost not w/cooled last night, the HD 7970s were producing so much heat that the tubing in the watercooling loop was sagging and the level in the reservoir visably droped. Things only cooled down a bit when I took the side panel off the case.

I think this is a pretty good arguement for watercooling the cards as well.

I hear ya bro! I can't seem to get mine over 58'C most of the time (aggressive fan profile but max is 65%). My CPU hits around the same temps too...

In fact my room is cooler for the first hour or so of gaming from when I turn my fans on, but I sit next to my computer so I get a nice chill from the machine :D. After about 2 hours then my room gets slightly hotter but not by much anymore.

Indeed it is. Water will soon warm up but the fams on the rads keep on top of that. I currently have 3 of my 5 fans turned off and the other 2 are running at ~800 rpm. I have the CPU on stock as well as the GPU's and have no issues whilst gaming and temps are perfectly fine. I will have to turn them on and up when the summer gets here but it is silent bliss this time of the year and without a fps counter running, I would have no idea if cards were overclocked as well as the CPU. Everything running smooth.

I obviously need to do some overclocking, the exhaust fans on mine are blowing cold air on me even after a 4 hour session on Borderlands 2 last night, peak temps on the GPUs were 58.
