Granny is coming to get you..

Hehe yer I saw this on the news this morning. She was a shocking driver in GTA IV though so perhaps a good idea she probably doesn't drive anymore hehe.

She was so cool though. :D

My gran use to beat me and my brother on Mortal Kombat for the snes. She didn't have a clue what she was doing, but it always worked :)

We learnt a few special moves from her.

Was going to say for someone who'd apparently played for so long she wasn't very good - but its probably her eye sight thats more the issue even with the 65 inch screen.

I'd love the data to do a study on dementia & other degenerative cognitive disorders to see if gaming/interactive puzzle games (Be that cross-words/chess or strategy games on the PC) have a positive impact & if so how much.

Ironically, the internet & computer games I'd say have a greater benefit for the elderly - as they spend far too much time passively watching TV, when they could be doing so much more & have so much more fun.

It's a real shame so many are resistant to technology.

I was surprised by this:

"It is predicted that by the end of this year, female gamers will outnumber men for the first time".

But then I looked to my right and remembered my girlfriend is playing Monkey Island on her iPad.

I call shenanigans! I'm guessing they are calling the iPhone crowd 'gamers' now because they play Farmville :D

I know, as a PC gamer the rise in mobile gaming annoys the hell out me, especially as game companies seem to be only concentrating on that market.

One of my favourite games was Rollercoaster Tycoon on the PC so I was excited when I heard the developer, Frontier, were bring a new game out this year. Turned on it's just an iPhone game which they 'might' port to PC but disappointed wasn't the word.
