Hiya all,
Been playing about on Farcry3, bf3 and hitman absolution after updating my drivers to 13.1, but noticed that for some reason my, memory usage has also gone up taking me over the 1gb mark.
Seeing as these are on offer http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-097-GI&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=938
I'm thinking about getting one, i know my Cpu will no doubt bottleneck the card(even if it's OC'd @4.6), i intend on upgrading when the new AMD cpus come out, or if they aren't up to much, switch to Intel.
I'm just after opinions really, completely sucks getting great fps with my current setup, but the games being totally unplayable due to memory limits.

Hi i have one but i bought mine mid 2012 voltage unlocked, but even on stock voltage which is 1174mv i get 1150core 1650memory so don't know weather that helps?

msi cards arnt locked,i dont think asus are either but not sure on that

the gigabyte 7950 cards arnt voltage locked either

Could save myself a little bit of cash if i get the B Grade item, but like i said i'm worried about it working properly, just sent a message to OCUK hopefully i'll hear something back soon.

The new AMD CPU's are out, Piledriver.
Steamroller may/may not be on AM3+ and all reports have it as 2014?

I got a 7970 Windforce and it's voltage locked.

Really don't want something that has locked voltages, looks like i'll be trying my luck with one of these b grade items.

Ive just bought an MSI 7970 OC card. Isn't volt locked and only cost me £300 with games bundle. Currently running at 1100/1650 without touching the volts. Not tried any higher as its runs everything I've tried perfectly and my water block isn't here yet

Just had a mate pop around with a 7970 in his system, can't believe the difference! didn't realize they'd be as powerful as they are compared to my crossfire 6870s.

I bought the windforce 7970 and its a nice card. Very pleased with mine and it may just be because I have a ref 7970 as my 2nd card in a crossfire setup but its really quiet. Even at 50% fans I can barely hear it! I had to check the fans to see if it was actually moving at 40%.

I personally would not buy B- grade. Now I am not saying you should never yourself but I would not even buy a second hand one off the well known auction site. I think when you spend that much money you should maybe pay a little extra just for piece of mind and warranty.
