Google helped themselves to another £288.99

Hi all

Has anyone else seen this? I ordered 1 Nexus 4 16GB on 5/12/12. This was charged to my card and shipped on 27/12/12. I've just checked my credit card account and I've found that Google have charged another £288.99 to my account, even though there is no additional purchase. Has anyone else seen this?

Is the old payment still showing on your statement? Could just be that they pre-auth'd the amount when you placed the order then didn't settle

Pre-auth just checks that the money is there and reserves it, if they don't actually request the money it will return to your account after a few days

Didn't think of that! The delivery note for the order I placed and received has an 0800 number on it.

The guy at the other end of the line is basically scratching his head wondering what's going on, and he's had to go off and ask someone else for assistance.

They are 2 separate transactions for the same amount.
