Does/has anyone driven this model and if so what are their main issues? - My brother is going to look at one on this week and I just wanted any info from you knowledgeable peeps in case he asks me to go along with him. (thought I would ask as the members in here seem to know their stuff)

He has just informed me this is a B6 2005 model and is the petrol version and has 90K on the clock.. The dealer wants 5K for it.

It won't be a B6 if its an A3 it will be an 8P. I had one new in 2006 kept it 18 months because of some quality issues with the leather and trim . It drove quite nicely and didn't hang around off the line but it was pretty short geared and wasn't that fast once moving due the 4wd losses and weight (1560kg). That meant fuel economy was pretty dire for what it was and would only manage about 30mpg on a motorway run.

I've got the non-Quattro version with the DSG box, it's quick and competent but not very exciting.

As with any 90k turbocharged car, it will have the potential to want a new turbo, injectors etc.

It'll be fairly uninspiring to drive, not very economical, and everyone will think that you are a knob in a 1.9tdi.

It's pretty rare for the 2.0T to munch it's turbo or its injectors to be honest.
