Hi

Relocating to a new workplace so do I keep her or trade her in?

Ive got a passat 130 tdi pd 2002
149,000 miles on the clock
No rot and no problems with it (timing belt replaced and new rear shocks done)
I was giving the passat so she cost me nothing :-)

I am now going to do 60 miles a day instead of 30 miles to work and back.

Would you replace her?

I've got 5k to spend if needed

60 miles a day.

You own a Passat diesel with no problems and recent maintenance done.

Why would you replace it for an unknown cheap car?

I have this model and its done 176k.. It's a machine for commuting. ~50mpg, little bit of boot and mechanically solid as a rock - cant see why you'd want to change it

Sounds like the OP has answered his own question.

Hardly Mastermind tho was it ? :)

I own a Bora TDI[130] on an 04 plate , had it nearly 5 years and struggling to justify replacing it

Spend some of that 5k on a rigorous service/choice extras and it will continue to reward

Unless it doesnt do something you need it to do or you have a particular desire to change then no point, spend the money on something else

Workmate has an ex Taxi 130, 02 plate also, it's nearing 340k miles now and bar the rather hammered interior, you'd never think it had done half that mileage, he commutes from Macclesfield to Stoke daily in it.

Imo, you'd be mad to change OP.
