Hi,

Just enquiring about your Porsche for sale. I would be grateful if you could let me know:
1.How many owners its had?
2.Is the warranty transferable?
3.What mpg do you get?
I look forward to hearing from you.

Really? if your going to buy a 6+ year old 911 with a 3.6l engine why would that be one of only 3 questions you ask???

Because some people in the world have to worry about this thing called 'money'.

Yes, I know it's a Porsche but 25MPG Vs. 40MPG makes a big difference if its a daily drive.

seems to have a ligit phone number and email address. I did forget the put the number of owners.

Hmm, well fair enough... poor advert :D

It's not the sort of language you would expect from someone buying a £30K+ car either, this would make me wary.

Though you get all sorts who have money now days.

But surely if you are in the market for a 911 at all, you know these kinds of things already? Only questions specific to his car are surely what you would expect?

I assume people that buy a old 911 would not be worry about an extra 1 or 2k per year fuel usage but I would have thought they would know that the car will do under 20mpg before evening looking at a 911.

Are these people spending £30,000 on 6 year old Porsche's?

If you are expecting 40mpg from a Porsche to start with you should buy something else.

I'd go as far as saying if you think you can get 40mpg from a Porsche 911 you're probably an idiot ;):D.

If MPG is such a concern why are they spending £30k+ on a 6 year old Porsche 911? Makes no sense.

I imagine in a porker fuel usage has a lot to do with your right foot.

Expecting economy in one seems silly.

edit

\/\/\/ is more than you'd expect.

I got circa 30mpg out of mine on a trip to the south of France and my father got 34mpg on a similar trip. Much more than people imagine when driven normally on motorways.

The 40MPG was just a example. And look, it's just a point about caring about money in general. Been brought up to not spend like a idiot, that's all.

I've had worst, one of my friends bought a 69 mustang.

Another one of my friends asked him what mpg do you get.

You should just reply, if you get double figures then you are not driving it right :D

Best i've ever got from mine is about 32 on a run. In traffic, or if you start to have a little fun off of cruise it plummets quickly.
