Hey guys, had a guitar for some time but never really played it much. Interested in having a go at learning some stuff but I don't know where to look. I had a look on Ultimate Guitar Tabs on my phone earlier but it was full of adverts and I was being redirected elsewhere. I searched Ultimate Guitar Tabs Malware and some others are reporting similar issues. Any other safe alternatives?

Ah, yeah thats the site that I went on. I guess it's all fine for you then? lots of pop ups for me and I've yet to try it on the computer because I wasn't sure it was safe after reading a post on another forum.

whenever i want tabs for a song i just google said song then bass tabs, usually pick the 1st one tht comes up, usually ultimate guitar

I use Songsterr.

Its bwtter than all the others, plus it can play the tab (like powertab). Useful for learning songs as you can listen to full understand which notes to play.

just type in the artist and song name then tab and you'll get results

there are deidcated artist tabs site out there which are preferrable but everything else is on ultimateguitar

the power tabs for guitar pro are very good if you want to pay for the program

One of the greatest aids EVER to learn to play a guitar is Guitar Pro so see if you can get your hands on it.
If not then get the free TuxGuitar.
Go to Ultimate Guitar and download the Guitar Pro files and run them in Guitar Pro or Tuxguitar and it will show you how to actually play them.

Both of my working bands learn new songs this way and we don't even practise.

Quoted for truth, guitar pro is excellent, you can slow the song down by as much as you need to, you can put a certain part in a loop that gets a % faster each time it plays through the loop. Don't *think* tux guitar has that.

I uninstalled it by accident last week when i thought i was uninstalling something else :(
