Evening all

My Hazro HZ27-WA has decided to give up the ghost. I built a new system and left it running windows updates. The monitor went into sleep and never woke up.

Shows a Red power LED which changes to Blue when a signal is detected but the display is dead. Confirmed with a backup monitor:(

Been reading all the issues on the forum with RMA problems or the glass falling out lol, not a good sign.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to get it sent back to Hazro.
Do I go through OcUK or email Hazro direct?

Monitor is 18 months old, up until this point it has been flawless tbh

Any help would be appreciated

Funny mine was about same age and died last week was well miffed. Just send web note and rma to ocuk been told im getting a full refund

Question now is what do I get to replace it?

Thank you very much for the reply Gents, much appreciated.

Yea seems like a few of us are having the same issue, hopefully OcUK or Hazor will sort this out. Not very impressed with the service length

If you don't mind me asking what, what problem did you have and what did OcUK say in response to your RMA request (PM me if you don't want it public)

Cheers, Paul

I rebooted pc after clocking memory and monitor would not show picture power light would just go red to blue then back to red

Tryed adjustments but no menu was showing that's when I knew it was dead

Contacted oc for rma they arranged for it to be picked up which was a bonus

Asked them what I could exspect as a replacement and was told I would get full refund as monitor is not made any more nearest model was th hz27wd which is also no longer made

Cheers matey, yea we are in the exact same situtation.

Sent a webnote to OcUK, they got back to me within 10 minutes.
They asked me to drop to monitor into them so it can be sent back to Hazro for repair.

I only live 5 minutes away lucky enough.

No idea what the out come will be because as you wrote above, they are no longer available

That's weird there was no mention of repair in the messages I received and hazro don't even produce a monitor of same spec

I only brought it because the connectivity as well as it being the same panel as used in the Macs cinema display

Don't really have much faith in the repair option so close to the end of warrenty and find it a little suspect that its the same fault as others are having surley a desighn or common component fault

I had exact same problem and symptoms. Monitor died end of November, I contacted Hazro for RMA but was told that as the product was EOL and the D series of similar spec was also EOL I would have to return to OCUK for a refund/credit.

Got it to OCUK and eventually I got my partial refund, which I put towards a Dell, which I am extremely happy with now. You may need to remind OCUK that the product is end of life, as I got a couple of standard 'we have sent your monitor to be repaired' responses when I was chasing this over Christmas.

I imagine it is down to the cheaper components used in the monitor that caused ours all to die at approximately the same time, bit poor that it did not last for its warranty though.

Once again, cheers for the advice

Took the unit into OcUk this morning and was told it will be sent back to Hazro for repairs.
I reminded them the WA/WD is EOL / discontinued and they said I should get a refund or credit note.

That was only after I mentioned about the glass and other problems on the forum etc.
The chap behind the counter thought my glass was held in with clamps and not bonded.

Not sure why they didn't sort the issue there and then, by now they must be fully aware the WA is EOL from other customer RMA's etc.

So at this moment it's still being sent back for repair. Just seems like it's dragging the process out as they no longer make a replacement ?

It this the same info you guys were told?

Yup I had to go through same process. I think they were awaiting refund from Hazro but not sure. I got partial refund in the end from OCUK directly.

Your screen was over a year old and OcUK still accepted the RMA? I bought mine at release, May 2011, and I was told I had to take it up with Hazro.

I did have to go to Hazro but because it is EOL they requested I return it to OCUK who would forward it to them and request an RMA refund.

Your model of monitor is still in production (at least the one in your signature) so that will be why the situation was different?

All sorted now chaps, thx for all the advice.

Got my replacement yesterday and got a full refund in the end.

I think this experience with Hazro will be my last. Switched to the Asus PB278Q which is in a different league so far.

Cheers to OcUk for top quality service!
