Relist you're auction then report the buyer, and when e-cheque comes thru just refund him and wash your hands of it.

Also say to cancel auction be polite say feedback is too low so you're not billed by eBay.

You dont use member market here I take it? Or ebay all that often? BACS is very popular.

What has members market got to do with eBay? Yes bacs is popular on the members market, a different medium to eBay. I'm a business seller on eBay with 3 account with feedback totalling 5000+ between the accounts, so yes I do use eBay often

Wait for payment to arrive. Wait seven days and you may find in that time the payment will have bounced. If not send a refund using the refund button on paypal.

Then you can reclaim fees.

Even before that screenshot I was going to say you'd be an absolute idiot to send a £1000 laptop (or anything for that matter) to anyone who sounds even remotely dodgy.

This 'buyer' sounds extremely dodgy from the off.

So are eBay now going to charge me for this sale if I cancel it ?

Do i contact them and let them know its a scam ?
