Falcao and Messi up top could be tasty. I would like to have tried Messi at RF. What's the highest chem he can get there?

Should 7 up at RF with 3 strong links, otherwise you'll be looking at 3-5 dependant on links.

I found him better at RF than ST in honesty, able to avoid his pretty bad weak foot, and use his speed & agility a lot more to weave in rather than being at ST and thrown straight into 2-4 people at once.

I want to start playing Seasons, but should I do all the offline tournaments first so I can get more coins and better players?

Do you want to play 442? or are you playing it cause thats what the team started as?

My advice would be stick to all bronzes (so you can play the bronze tourney and face more evenly matched teams) until you have a full gold team bought in the background, you could go 442 if you want, there's plenty of good english players, the only weak spots are CB's really, but if you go BPL English players yu can throw M'Bia & Luiz etc.. in for very little pennies.

If you're wanting to stick with 442 and want a lot of english players, maybe try to aim for something like:

Lennon - Cleverly - Gerrard - Oxlade Chamberlain
---------- Bent - Defoe ---------

Just to give yourself some options for easy slot in upgrades over time

Offline tournies are handy for coins & squad building, or if you're that way inclined, throwing a few £ at packs can grab you players you can sell on or keep to enhance your squad, who knows, you could get lucky and land someone big (As in big in value, not tall, Crouch isn't worth anything!!)

Thanks TimBrand! Yes sticking to 442 because that was the default. I'm not looking to go all English players, it just so happened I saw Cleverly, Barry and Zamora in an auction going for just 300 coins! I want to get some foreign players but am I right in saying they'd have to have some sort of line with the other players in order for the Chemistry to go up?

For example could I get a CB who's say Spanish but plays for Man City, so that his Chemistry with Barry will still be good?

Also where can I go to learn those cool tricks I've seen on youtube videos to get past players?

Maybe move Sneijder out to RCM, Marchisio LCM, then get De Rossi for in the middle?

Are you playing 433 or 4321? 4321 you'd be better of with Miccoli, Di Natale, Muriel etc.. at ST, for 433 Cavani is good but his high/high workrates means he is often too far back to be useful, consider trying IF Milito/IF(Or SIF) Pazzini perhaps if you want to throw it in to heads.

I'm using 4-3-3.
It's the first time I'm using cavani and I have found his finishing like Torres, misses easy ones but gets hard ones. I thought his heading stats would be good to be the sole striker. Either gonna sell him for Pato or milito

Yep, chemistry can be a nightmare when you are learning, I think someone posted a full "CHemsirty outline" a few pages back, I'd say have a scoot back & check it out, it'll help your understanding no end

I'm using 41212 at the mo, seems pretty good, I haven't been a fan of it this year but it's been pretty consistent of late.

4231 I enjoyed but I found it so open defensively.

did you high attacking CDM's or CB's? 4231 should be good at the back..

tempted creat bund league 4231 team, fancied a change from my 352 serie A

how does this look? not sure about WR's, perhaps ligue1 or russian league would be better..

it's because he is 49 rated, the players at the bottom end of the rating scale go for outrageous prices, simply because they will be used on the bench to bring down the OVR rating of the team.

there used to be a guy who used to go for up to 20K on the last fifa because he was so low rated

The EA system is terrible. This is just one of many glitches like transfer stuck on completing status. You will get your money back but it just takes time.

You can't see your opponents OVR in season or in cup matches and it certainly doesn't do a good job of matchmaking based on OVR because I have a 78 rated 4.5 star team and get routinely matched up with mega squads which don't have bronze players on the bench either.

49 OVR is pretty high (there are people with 40, 43 OVR)

Just checked ultimatedb and that guy which went for 1300 has an average price of 150.

Are you sure? Because in FIFA 11 and 12 you could use bronze players on the bench and then when you entered a friendly match it would give you artificially low OVR ratings for each section of your team, much to your opponent's horror when he sees you rocking Messi et al with a bronze bench. It was a sure-fire way of being matched up against starter teams or very low rated sides giving most high gold players a massive advantage.
