I am 36 year's old and have been playing games of one sort or another since my dad came home with a machine that played pong and the likes. When I was young and before consoles I used to play little hand held games like mini munch man ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3EfVk4aBUp0 ) and moved onto astro wars etc ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=woIvOSliMlE ). Then I started playing games in the local chip shop like wonder boy ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bvim7O9RvK0 ) and moving on to game like golden axe and street fighter..

I have played games pretty much since I was about 6-7 years old and don't really see a stage at this point where I will grow out of them.
When I think, I could go see a film at the cinema with a load of randoms for £10-£15 or **** out and watch eastenders etc, there is really no contest when compared to playing some BF3 with a few mates and having a few beers and a laugh.

I know I am probably preaching to the choir so to speak as I'm posting this in the pc gaming section, but I really do feel there is some sort of social stigma when someone of my age mentions that they are a p.c gamer..

So my question is, at what age do you think you should have grown out of gaming?

Personally, I am enjoying gaming more and more and am excited about what the future holds. If you gave me a choice of having a p.c to game on or a T.V to watch eastenders etc, I would choose the p.c every time.

I can honestly say that I expect to be a gamer for the rest of my life.

There's no age at which you're too old to game!

I'll be gaming for the rest of my life, however long it may be. Those who think it's just for children are either deluded or just haven't found the right game(s) for them.

Or, even, you get the idiots who claim videogames are for kids while they pound Bejeweled Blitz with all their Facebook friends etc. half the day. Those ones... well... they're just cement-minded idiots.

46 here and still playing games. Your choice of games might change as you get older. But there's nothing stopping you or anyone from gaming until you decide it's time to stop.

36 here too and I intend gaming until i'm dead :) Never too old as far as I'm concerned. Although, early onset of rheumatism/arthritis would probably change my approach.....
