thanks phill

Good choice arc, another one to consider is:

YOUR BASKET
1 x HIS HD 7950 IceQ BOOST 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card (H795QC3G2M) £239.99

The His when both oc'd, is quieter/cooler as it vents out the case but the WF is quieter@idle, I have gave both of them a spin.

The His has unlocked memory voltage through HisTurbo tool, idk about the WF.

Which one clocks the farthest is any ones guess though with the chip lottery.

I have tried both as well, and found the gigabyte to run cooler + it has 3 years rma uk warrenty

@Ian,

the whoosh from the Ice-Q is much easier to live with than the noise the WF puts out when it hits 60c.

I would be a huge deal breaker for me as I'm anal about noise.

If load noise is an issue for the op, then the Ice-Q's cooler wins hands down.

The 3 years UK warranty with GB should be considered too, OcUK handle the warranty for His, but, idk what the procedure@OcUK would be when the Ice-Q hits eol.

Most Ice-Q/WF owners are very happy with their choice of gpu's, either one are both good cards at the end of the day.

:)

Yeah, HIS are also a decent choice, and they make some nice coolers. My 4870X2 had great temps for such a hot and juicy card. However, the UK rma would swing it for me, though if the process is simplified through OcUK, then it's basically a coin flip. :)

Edit : in fact, should the rma process be a non issue here, I would go with the HIS. Confirmation would be required, though.

Thanks for the replies all, it really does look like its going to be a coin toss between the 2

Are u sure the iceq wins hands down? It comes nowhere in the silent card tests lol!

The WF and DCU2 are the best 2 cards for noise.

Tommy posted a video a while back comparing noise. I have to say, the HIS sounded the least intrusive, though the Gigabyte is very good to be fair. Above 50 - 60% it does get a bit noisey, though that doesn't bother me. :)

The WF never goes near 60-70% though lol?

What cases are you using?

Must be a very heavy OC to make it go that fast lol.

The DCU2 only goes 10-30% best card for noise im really liking i, but the size is a *******!

The gigabyte idle is 20%?

I dunno why u dont use auto seems the fan profiles on them are good, no need for 50% really, well from what ive seen with a 660. Maybe the 670 gets hotter?
