Hi All,

I'm not a massive weekly comic book reader, I do however read a fair amount of graphic novels.

I've read a lot of the Batman one shots and graphic novels, Knightfall, The Long Halloween, Hush etc etc etc.

Will they release the new 52 in a TBP format or anything? I'd like to just purchase them and read them in one go instead of weekly (like Bleach manga which annoys the crap out of me because it takes ages for anything to happen).

Another thing which I've found that annoys me is that the crossovers to other comics, I've just priced up digital comics of Batman, Detective Comics, Batman and Robin and Batman: The Dark Knight which comes up to $120! Which I think is just a rip off!

The Court of Owls (Batman) is already out with the Night of Owls due out soon. From what I've read of the new52 that's the only arc worth reading

Probably best to post in this general comic thread:

here (not a huge amount of comic fans on here so we get a better discussion going if the threads aren't spread too thin!)

I've not touched the New 52 yet (I don't generally read the superhero stuff) but people rave about Snyder's run on Swamp Thing, as well as the cross over story with Jeff Lemire's Animal Man. Constantine is rebooting soon as well (mixed opinions about that but I'll give it a go)

Yes they already have but the popular ones are only in hardback right now. DC are slow, compared to Marvel, to publish TPB.

Most of the first runs are now out in either TPB or hardback. Those that released in hardback are starting to filter through as TPBs now (Green Lantern, JLA for example).

Typically, to only read the collections, you will be a year behind the comics.

As for crossovers to comics...that's what happens in comics. If you look at the list in Knightfall of what it collects, you'll see it draws from at least 6 different titles.
