The card would get really hot running at 10k LOL are you for real?

There is some games that go mental in menus like 3k fps you need enable vsync asap!!

It'd get no hotter running at 100% load and 30fps than 100% load and 10k fps...

When is 10k a magical FPS though? Surely its 10324fps...exactly.

Load comes from doing more work. Which is rendering more frames.
The same card, with the same game will always be hotter under more load.

Assuming you're not CPU limited or using Vsync, the GPU should be working at 100% all the time, regardless of frame rate.

If I try and run a benchmark on my nvidia cards that gives 1000s of fps the cards will just throttle back. Its not because the cards are stressed, I think its a hardware feature. A good example of this is Performance Test 7.
