I was aiming for the 800 mile badge but the snow last week ruined any chance of that. I'm still hoping to reach 600 miles.

I'd like to have a go at the climbing challenge, hopefully Strava will sort this problem out.

5k is a good goal, especially if you do some of it on your BMX.

ill be riding my bmx more during the summer - commuting to work on it is a load of fun believe me or not! a lot slower but hey.. :)

now i can't really take it out to work etc because it has no mudguards and all the crap lands right on my back/shoes! :)

i only take it out for short(3-5) mile trips to shops etc but i haven't been tracking them.. maybe i should start :o

What you think???/

Sorry, its in a difficult place to take a photo of.

ignore it and carry on! :) had a dent on my old bmx frame that was a lot deeper on a back triangle and it was fine

Who's out today? Its wet here this morning and pretty windy, suns trying to break through at the minute. Going to take the aero rims off and go do some climbing through high wycomb

I've been out today. I did that Rochdale sportive and then rode home. http://app.strava.com/activities/38843960

I did 90 miles in total. I was going to try and do a loop near my house to make it 100 but between the ridiculous wind we had for half the course, the rain and hail for a portion of it and the fact it was getting dark by the time I'd got back I sacked it off. 90 will do.

Dumbass here forgot to wear his HRM though...

I'm surprised they didn't cancel that sportive! How were the roads? Had the snow cleared?

Yeah, all the rain last night and today cleared it. It was wet and some parts of the road were flooded but nothing we couldn't cope with. The wind was brutal though. I was pedaling in the granny ring downhill at certain points. It was mental.

nice one damien! :)

Cheers :)

Well done mate, superb effort given the conditions.

Might be worth cleaning and re-greasing them, or are they too far gone?

New bearings are cheaper than new wheels :p

Given the state of your bike the last time you showed us a photo I'm not surprised the wheels have suffered. Is it a cheap set? It's probably got poor seals and stuff has got in?

Decent ride today! Finally managed to get out after the snow. Most roads were fine. Just wet. Very wet.

It turns out the flood across the road wasn't 3 inches. But more like 20.

No ride for me today as I was hungover :(

Not looking forward to tomorrows commute, my god it's windy out there at the moment, and it's meant to be worse tomorrow!

It might be cheaper but it will not last long either :-) haha that was more of a surface dirt than actuall dirt on my components :-) these are working fine bar the surface damage from salt :-) yeah they came with my triban so upgrading to a new set with sealed bearings migt be a good idea?! But what choice do i have for 100-200 budget? Wheels need to be tough!

get some mavic open sports on some 105 hubs. They'll go on and on and on.

Did Downward Spiral on the turbo today... ouch.

My new light (the usually eBay CREE T6 jobby) finally arrived so I'll be able to see now on unlit country lanes, handy with another trip to deepest darkest Watford this week.
