There is 7 of us going snowboarding on 30th March, we are heading to the three valleys. Original plan was to go to Val Thorens.

However we've never been to France before, which valley would you recommend. We are looking for good conditions in March/April plus a lively nightlife.

Thanks

Meribel is a good place to base yourself. The Rond Point is decent for night life.

The pass allows you to board all three valleys though. Of all three, Courcheval was probably my favourite but you shouldn't limit yourself to one. You can board all three valleys in a day.

Thanks for the reply. Is it best be be at Meribel Mottorat or Meribel centre? I'm guessing the nightlife is easily accessible no matter what level you stay at?

I was at Val Thorens with Uni last year, I had the 3 valley pass obviously. I'd be inclined to say that VT had the best skiing, followed closely by courcheval - but I never really got over to Meribel.

VT has Saloon bar -a chain thats often regarded as one of the bset bars/nightclubs for apres ski.

I wouldn't say it matters too much, there are good places in both and they aren't too far apart. We in fact stayed at Brides Les Bains, about a 10min drive down the hill. It was far far cheaper and we had our own car as well although the two are linked by cable car as well.

Has to be VT for nightlife. Loads of bars and then finish in Malaysia (largest underground club in the alps).

Meribel is in the middle so you did well to ski VT and Courchevel without setting foot in Meribel. :D

I'm just back from VT, I'd say it's probably the best as far as ski area is concerned and will also be most reliable for conditions as it's the highest. Night life will be good in all three - it's fairly similar throughout all alps resorts.

Malaysia (largest underground club in the alps).

This place is amazing :D
I didnt realise it was underground, it just looks like a little shed in the middle of the street, walked past it to go boarding in the morning thinking it must be the worst club in the world, then got inside and it's huge :D
