313.95 Nvidia drivers

I've just downloaded and given these a go. No issues installing - I grabbed the US/English ones from the nvidia beta site (I read on guru3d that people seemed to be having issues with the international version).

Just fired up Far cry 3 - no difference for me. I was getting great performance with the 310.90's and these seem exactly the same. If it ever dips below 60 (like in parts of the main town early on in the game, which is as far as I've got!), it's still a jittery mess even though it's running at about 55fps. This is with 670 SLI by the way.

Regarding the Vsync (smooth) thing - can confirm this option only appears when SLI is enabled. Just tried it in Far cry 3 and it limits it to 30 fps, and is the most un-smooth experience ever - really jittery!

Seems to be like adaptive vsync, in that it halves the framerate to half your refresh rate, but makes it the opposite of smooth. Figure that one out!

Lol so some say good some say bad, exactly like AMD tbh.

What other games do you play wunkley? Id like to do some comparisons with you since u seem upfront about stuff.

Ha, cheers bud. I don't 'properly' play many games these days it seems, I tend to fanny around for 10 minutes at a time in various, just trying to get things working properly and testing stuff. It's the perverse pleasure of pc gaming aint it :)

Games I am sort of playing at the mo though are Far Cry 3, Hitman Absolution, Skyrim (fully enb modded up) and Dishonered (SweetFX modded up). Dipping into Cysis 2 (maldo HD modded up) here and there. Been trying to play stuff that will push and test my system, being a recent 670 SLI convert...

I dont think it increases FPS just makes things more smooth?

If you rerun heaven 5 times youll get that score on either driver i bet lol.

What games you play btw?

Fair enough. What GPU(s) you on at the mo? I really don't get the brand loyalty/ fanboy hate with nvidia and AMD. I'll just buy whatever seems to be the best at the time. Stayed nvidia this round as my work involves video editing and I use Premiere pro, so the cuda cores come in real handy.

Did some testing with fraps and going to update them on my bench thread. Only usefull for those with triple screens or those considering triple screens. Sorry but I CBA doing single screen testing. I will leave that for others :)

Im on a 7970 atm but if i keep running into niggles ill be on a 680.

I dont care what company makes the card aslong as it runs my games good and without any problems.

Ofcourse youll always get bugs, but not ones that not there on one companies card but are on the others!

Some games will work better on such and such card i get that but all cards should run games how there ment to if you get what i mean?

These seem slightly better in BF3 for me than 310.90 and also 310.90 gave me a bsod during BF3 first time in ages i get a bsod from a gfx driver.:p

Just tried the new drivers

This will shock a few AMD owners when I post it in the Heaven thread.

Hang on im an AMD owner.:D:eek::p:D

Not noticing much difference between 310.90, but that Vsync 0n (Smooth) really does bloody work which is great. I can finally run around in bf3 64 man servers without stuttering like a bitch.

Needs more testing though!

kaap i was ment to ask you, when playing on both machines with the same games do you notice anything different?

What games do you play so i can point stuff out since you can test it easier since own both lol :P

^^ Superb Kaap :)

@ Kaap

So finally quad sli is sorted, happy days. :)

Great score by the way :D

Thanks guys.:D

I play strategy games mostly

Just recently finished the latest XCOM game (on one GPU, I forgot to check and download the drivers lol). Mostly I play Civ 5 but the game I am waiting for is RTW2.
