This might seem like a really strange question to some, but would vodka be something it would be OK to use to clean off thermal paste? I have some cheap vodka that wasn't there when I went out one night, and now it is

I usually use brake cleaner, clear nail polish remover, or don't bother and just do it thoroughly with kitchen roll.

It is 37% alcohol / 74 proof if it makes any difference.

Cheers :p

ive used

petrol
kitchen towel on its own
metholated spirits

all work well provided you allow the fumes to evaporate,or give yourself a high with the petrol, whatever floats your boat...oh and dont smoke a fag while doing it:D

Does TIM cost more than vodka these days?

Well it would be hard to say. There are different types of thermal paste and different types of vodka. Thermal paste is measured in grams, vodka is measured in millilitres.

I would say that if you worked out the volume of each, thermal paste has always been more expensive than vodka.
