Thinking about a change, budget £3k

This is why im charging my gti6.
Not very easy to replace once you love them.

A few people seem to sell them not realising they value thing like steering feel until they are in a cupra or whatever.

You need a another "drivers car" by the sound of things

Im going through exactly the same thing with exactly the same cars. "Upgraded" from a 306 Rallye to a MK1 Leon Cupra and im left very unsatisfied. Granted, its a nice place to be when im driving it however it just does not give me the same buzz where corners are concerned. I don't miss the bills however.

Everything this person wrote. Also why i'm not tempted back into a 306 again.

You should be looking at the meganes or nothing else imo.
(FWD anyway)
The rest of them will bore you i promise.

The issue with the GTi-6 is the parts prices are slowly getting abit silly.
But you can get around it quite easily most of the time.
If you not on the members club your pretty ****** too.

It's hard for me to suggest anything else as theres not much under 3k i would wnat after this car and I would stuggle to replace it so much myself that I frankly just CBA until i can get a e46 m3.
Hence why i'm completely rebuilding its suspension and adding a supercharger....
And probably the main reason to the superchargers success is many's reluctant view to sell/get rid.
There are people on the forum that have had as many as 10!

Anyway, If I didnt have one, Didnt want another and had 3k I would struggle, Save, Buy a Megane R26

Not so much done as wary of something 12+ years old and French again. French cars have a reputation for dodgy electrics. A reputation that, in my experience, is completely founded.

Clio 182

Obviously the bonnet wrap and Sub would be binned with immediate effect. Not sure about the clutch and 'lightweight racing cams' though.

just LOL at that advert. thats actually more chavvy than the advert i bought my M3 from, and that was a seriously chavved up car :D

also, the brake calliper appears to be missing a retaining clip plus all the rubbish about cams or whatever. if someone had actually spent money to tune it they would put up info about what they gained.

so not only is the advert written by a chav, theyre also lying, they want the car to go faster, and so it has be absolutely thrashed and the missing clip shows they cant maintain it properly either

and then the sub etc

one to avoid

the e46, even though that is becoming the most-sought-after-by-chavs car in the world, it looks like a nice example. at 40k miles id expect it to be practically brand new still
