Need an E60 wing mirror cover

Dad clipped his wing mirror the other day and lost the front cover.

Everything else remained intact and luckily the glass didn't smash.

He got a quote from an online scrapyard but thought £40 was too pricey.

Can anyone recommend a good place to get one? Is there a decent website for BMW spares?

Colour coded would be nice (Carbon Schwarz) but not essential.

Tried that, it happened in the dark and couldn't find it. Went back the following morning and it was still nowhere to be seen.

His eBay skills aren't up to much but apparently he has and could only find E39 complete wing mirrors (for less that £40).

I haven't looked myself mind, just thought I would check here before going on the hunt. If there was a well-regarded place I could have saved myself some effort.

I had to replace the gloss black plastic part on the front of the mirror housing (not the mirror cover itself). That alone was £46 but would have been near impossible to find listed as an individual part at a scrappies
