How much did your last m.o.t cost

About £30, for an MOT. What needed doing? An MOT test. *runs* :p

In all seriousness though, why? Completely dependant on the car and owner.

run taxis so slightly different as in we don't technically need an mot, just a certificate of compliance from the council (although you can get your MOt whilst your at it for not a lot more)

£48.50 for the council inspection, and £20 for the MOT. nothing needing done.

My last MOT was £25 + £140 for a brake caliper and two track rod ends. The one before that was for the mercedes limo i had parked up for a while to use for a road trip across europe. The quote for that was £800 for welding and suspension repairs, i ended up selling it back to the original owner instead.

Well, you can have a useful reply too. My last MOT cost £30 but my car needed the following to pass:

- A new horn.
- Headlights adjusted.
- Rear numberplate lamp fitting.

I think, including labour, getting that done cost an extra £50.

Somewhat annoyingly it was all stuff I'd asked to be resolved before the MOT, as I knew about it, but hey ho...

Still, not too shabby for a 44-year-old car.

I usually get charged £40, but after the MOT the garage owner allows me to use one of his lifts for 30mins - 1hr so i can give the car a good look over myself.

Corvette is currently in the garage. Had a bit of a rush around this morning to fix the front plate situation as it had fallen off....

It's got a bit of a weird lighting situation due to the european fogs fitting making the indicators flash slightly faster on one side, but okay on hazards so all being well it will be okay.

£24.50 for the test (we have a discount scheme with my work)
Passed, no advisories

The only thing I've had a car fail the MoT test on in recent years has been emissions (cost about £800 to sort as I needed a new cat).
If you keep your car serviced properly and look after it, and assuming it's not really old and rusty, most cars will just pass these days.

MOT was just under £40 last June, I had to replace two front sidelight bulbs, sort out a twisted brake line and replace the windscreen washer pump.
They gave an advisory on the rear numberplate being wonky but cba to sort that!

Free, got free MOTs for life (technically 10 years) when I bought the car. Sailed straight through.

Last MOT and full service cost me an £18 steak dinner from the pub for my mechanic friend

Also - you're/your

£45. A 2001 Fiat Seicento that is an absolute shed. Miraculously it passed but I'd replaced a headlight and put two new brake discs on the day before so knew everything was pretty much shipshape.
