I'm sure you have all seen this on BBC news already, but a man has surfed the world's most tallest wave that has ever been surfed when he surfed it, and when he did surf it, the wave was tall:

Ugh! Don't do that!

Drug binges and other naughtiness aside, what is the most extreme thing you have ever participated in? Mine was scuba diving nearby Komodo in Indonesia. Holy crap those currents were insane. I saw bubbles go straight down and later had to swim backwards to avoid what we identified to be a whirlpool. Couldn't get on that boat fast enough :o

How about you?

DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDE! Is pretty much all you can say about hat picture...

I've swam with sea lions, and seen a blue whale, that's not really extreme, either of those though...

Dropping a crazy pillow line the last time I was in the Rockies.

We were so far off piste and the cliff at the bottom was so big (Well, it looked big when I fell off it!!), I thought I was going to die

1m of powder might look nice, but Christ it's hard to get out of when you're stuck!

Bungee jumped.

There have been many many times where we've done incredibly stupid but awesome stuff at uni. Managed to block the car park by pushing people's cars once whilst stupidly drunk :D

Can't think of the most extreme thing I've done, probably some of the slightly dangerous places I've visited.

On Sunday I'm going into two of the Chernobyl reactors and then the next Friday I'm doing a bobsled run in an olympic sled (110km/h) which I'm pretty nervous about! Then the next day doing a tonne of shooting and also got some hand grenades.

A friend and I once hung by our arms on the rail of a lighthouse we had let ourselves into on top of a large cliff and both went one handed, very dumb.

I get my thrills backcountry snowboarding these days and have had some pretty epic descents but that is about understanding the risks and trying to mitigate them rather being dumb.

I walked against the arrows in Ikea once, was a scary moment. Watching all the people stare at me like I've just committed a cardinal sin.

At school we went skiing in Courmayeur, I crashed into one of the orange fences, flipped over it and was hanging on with 1 of the skiis caught in one of the holes. 20ft drop below. I never did quite grasp the parallel stop.
