So I am off to a conference in Pasadena and I have Sunday and Monday to waste plus Tuesday evening.

I know there are loads of things to do here, but what would people suggest is the best use of my time. Ideally I don't want to spend loads of money as it is bad enough that I get to go to LA without the wife. If I spend hundreds as well then I am really in trouble. That said, food is on work so I can eat where I want assuming it is reasonable in price. Giant burgers are a must!

Any suggestions welcome as I have left this a bit late and don't what to get there Saturday night and have to rush and figure out what to do Sunday. Plus I have loads of reading to do for work before I go and during the flight : /

Barney's Beanery is a decent bar in Old Town Pasadena and should be a blast to watch the Superbowl in :D

Shame there isn't a UCLA football games as there is the legendary Rose Bowl stadium there.

You could run up the road to the Jet Propulsion Lab but at this short notice you'd have to call and see if they were available on Monday and could squeeze you in. Otherwise you could go hiking in the National Forest if you are outdoor-inclined, or the weather should be good this weekend so spend a day in Santa Monica or head out to Malibu on the beach for a surf lesson or something.

For something a bit different Palm Springs in only 1hr 30 minutes away and a cool place to hang out. :p Or there's always Disneyland :p

Jet Propulsion Lab sounds good. I would like the national forest but I am not sure I want to commit the time to travelling out of town.

Rescue Kim. Again.

I know she is my daughter but I never really liked her. I think I will just let the bomb go off this time and get drunk.
