I feel your pain Wez.
I have had similar issues with NPower recently, along the lines of...
When i moved into my house 7 months ago i carried on paying what the previous tennants had been before me (£80pm) they had built up a £209 credit at the time i took over the tenancy.
Fast forward to the 6th January, i get a call from NPower saying that im £178.13 in Debit to them for the 6 month period, now by my calculation that means i should have been paying about £110 per month since moving in.
What gets me though is is this....Im at work all day, the gas central heating is on for 1 hour in the morning and 4 hours in the evening, the 6 radiators i have in the house all have thermostatic valves and the hallway, and my bedroom ones are turned to minimum (so off basically)
As for electricity....i dont have anything that consumes masses of power such as a tumble dryer, computer is switched off when not in use etc etc.
The property is a well insulated mid terrace house with double glazing.
I just find it unbelieveable that im consuming the gas and electric that Npower say i am, i give them meter readings online monthly and they say im on the cheapest tarriff
I cant turn down the heating much more than it is to be honest.
I wish i could go to a meter just for 3 months to see how it goes, unfortunately you cant...once its in its in.
