What's all these pipes and gubbins on the back of this Landy about then?

Driving through Teddington and spotted this lashed up on the back of a Landy:

What you can't see from the photo is it's sort of bodged on with a bike rack and the pipe going over the roof pokes back in through the side window. A colleague at work says he's seen quite a few vehicles driving near Teddington with them on. This was a few months ago - the last spot was a 2013 Audi last night.

Any idea what they are, who's doing it etc?

Some very interesting figures on that site.

Looks like the best CO2 low-tax-troll car is the BMW ActiveHybrid5, the 'True MPG' comes out rather less than the quoted MPG :D

Wow, that was pretty quick and I had no idea What Car was in Teddington :D

Nice one!

Yea - Haymarket's based there so you've got magazines like Autocar, Classic and Sports car, etc., as well as things like Pistonheads and others... :)

Thank you WhatCar!
Surprised to see the modern Audi 2.0 TDI is making very close to manufacturer claims too!

Pistonheads have offices? I think I might need to take a wander down one lunchtime. There's more here than I thought :D

It's OK there's a new Nando's just down the road.

Excellent, next time i'm down i will be paying a visit! :D

I'm in that place :D

Its an interesting place that's for sure!! All i've ever seen of it though is the canteen as i'm based next door in the NMO office but they still have extremely cool labs.

Planning your next experiment?? :D
