Dubstep fans take a look!!!

Thanks for that.

I started this thread to get people to listen to my music and give me feedback, I understand that not everyone will like it but I appreciate the feedback and I can deal with criticism.

If you want to argue about dubstep and sub genres then please start your own thread!!

Sorry to derail your thread, it was just such a petty argument that I got riled :)

This is what I hate about people who are into their electronic music posting on forums. The obsession with defining and categorizing different types of music into genres like it's a law. Tedious.

Yes, really.

No, I wasn't attempting to steal his limelight in the slightest. But, don't let that stop your personal vendetta :)

OP, drop me a message in trust and I can see what I can do to get some stuff released if you want :)

Personal vendetta :D

Don't flatter yourself son :D

Do you remember the email you sent me saying how you were a little child but you've now grown up and understand why people gave you a hard time?

You're back there.

I understand why people gave me a hard time, and I've put effort into changing how I come across. However, this is just ridiculous.

It is ridiculous, but it happens to you a lot doesn't it.

Now lets not derail the guys thread anymore :)

very tight production dude, i'm impressed at what you manage to squeeze out of reason!

definitely invest in cubase as it's got a nicer audio engine, and make sure you use a lot of decent plugins for it too.

i see you going places, as there's definitely a heap of talent there dude :)

Thanks :) I'm hoping to get Pro tools soon, never used Cubase before but haven't heard great things about it to be honest. Reason is a beast bit of kit!!!

Very Delta Heavy-esque, love it :D

Thanks!!

What he is referring to is the "Reason Sound" which is caused by the audio engine.

At the moment, I am trying to learn Logic and Ableton simultaneously, I would definitely recommend either with some decent VSTs such as Massive.

Logic, imo is the king as it's just well laid out and allows you to do some really funky routing.

Cubase is probably the best DAW on pc as it's versatile but it is a bitch to do all the fun stuff...

reason is really really REALLY easy to pick up and master quickly, it just sounds like ass. rewiring it into cubase, and then just doing everything in reason would allow you to hear the difference in quality as it bypasses reasons' engine and solely uses cubase.

get a demo version or cubase (if it's possible?) and just give it a whirl, i bet you'll be impressed :)

There's definitely some talent there, as the others have said I think Universe is your strongest track, keep up the good work!

Reason is only easy if you understand filters and routing. I would say it's the best programme for routing things! Getting good sounds and advanced techniques is far from easy!! Believe it or not I used to hate Reason!! Couldn't do anything with it and everything sounded rubbish, but I'm quite happy with my sound and wouldn't change from Reason. I would definitely like to try and rewire it through another software to see what it sounds like though. I really want Pro tools, I used it at uni and really liked it. Does anyone know if you can Rewire in LE/SE versions??

As for Logic, I won't go near it!! Used it in uni and hated it!! I'm going to have a look for a demo of cubase and see what it's like.

Thanks! It's weird because everyone on youtube thinks it's my weakest track!! I guess everyone has different taste.

I have only ever lightly dipped into the "dubstep pool" and I must say what you have managed to produce is of decent quality.

More piano.

and if you can give me dubstep with strings orchestra style you sir win the internet.
