Just been searching the net for a nice and big sd card for my brother's GS1 since he ran out of space.. suddenly I find 64gb micro sd cards can be had for less than £15 on the website which cannot be named.

What's up with these micro sd cards then? They don't appear to have any branding on them.. but they're only flash memory.. :o

yeah tht's how they've gone pretty much any phone with external memory uses one now and they are dirt cheap and yeah flash memory although it boggles me how they fit 64gb into something that isnt even the size of your finger nail

Pictures show the packaging and it just seems rather Generic.. no logos anywhere..

So there's actually nothing wrong with them? Perfect for using in phones?

SanDisk's 64gb are still around £50 :o

yeah they dont come branded other than sony's cards, if they are made by sandisk then they arent branded so yeah plus 50 quid isnt bad cause think of the amount of pictures, music and mvoies you can store on that thing all to watch on your phone

They do look quite peculiar though.. I mean the packaging, almost seems like a rip-off :o

You can take a look for yourself if you just type in "64gb micro sd card" in the website..

Pretty hard to find these anywhere else.

Avoid any form of memory from eBay, too many fakes.
Also bare in mind if hes wanting to use it for HD recording or anything write speeds may be an issue on some of the cheaper cards.

I both a 64Gb usb stick of ebay and surprise surprise i can not format it in NTFS
So quality is in question i am not going to mention the horrible write speeds

I just got a 64gb sdhc off the bay for £10.50. Its only for my phone, so i do not care that much about speeds. Im sure ill live to regret it at some point.

How is it going so far though? The one we're looking at has the same price :o

He usually keeps a folder with all of this phone stuff on anyway, so if something happens he doesn't have to reorganise everything.

It was posted today, so ill have it on monday i take it.

I have a 16GB cheap one in my phone at the moment, been fine so far. My S3 is rooted, i have my apps on my sd card, so i just want a large one so i can have 80GB of theoretical space.

I also use titanium backup, so even if shizz goes down it will still be there. My only concern would be saving important photos. But since i have no friends or anyone to take photos of me that isn't a problem.

Since OS is on the photo itself, its not going to increase times of anything noticeably i doubt. So I feel the Cost/Performance ratio isn't really worth it on the expensive cards.

Got a 32gb Class 10 for my HD camcorder bought that in 2011 for like 35quid can now pick up a 64gb for same price if not cheaper, mental really

Sure, It will take a couple of months to know if it breaks or not.

But ill give you my first opinions on it.

Ah okay, mind keeping me posting and telling me how it goes? :)

Hey dude, it came today.

So far it seems ok. I was rather surprised, out of the 64GB, 62.2 is usable, which i thought was a very good amount, considering my 16GB card has <14GB usable.

I can tell that the write speeds aren't fantastic, but not horrendous by any means. But then again for a 5th of the price, im not surprised.

Here is a picture of how it came.

Seemed rather professional. But still, with that packaging and free 1st class delivery, im blissfully unaware of what corners they cut to make the price of £10.50.

I expected it to be cheap and cheerful, thats what i got, so no compaints.
